The Holiday Season is an exciting time for many. A lot of towns in Long Island host community events that are fun for the whole family around this time of year. The east end of Long Island can especially look forward to many fun events in the town of Riverhead. Here are some upcoming holiday events to look forward to in Riverhead, Long Island.
The North Shore Community Band is presenting their annual Holiday Concert in Wading River New York. It will feature festive melodies and holiday classics. Relax and enjoy the holiday spirit featuring everyone’s favorite music including “Christmas Festival,” “Hanukah Festival,” Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and much, much more. They will also feature a vocal rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Wizard of Oz. Admission is Free.
The Riverhead Library is hosting a holiday movie marathon on December 20th. The movie selection is decided by a vote for the holiday movie that you want to see the most. The three top-voted movies will be showing in the Grand Room at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. The movies will be accompanied by holiday treats.
Five-time Grammy Award winning, singer-songwriter-producer, television personality, actor entrepreneur, pop culture & fashion icon Ceelo Green will be performing at the Suffolk Theater for his Holiday Hits Tour. Best known for hits “Forget You”, “Crazy”, as well his five appearances as a coach on NBC’s The Voice, Ceelo Green has made appearances on Saturday Night Live, Oprah , The Billboard Music Awards and a performance at the 2012 Super Bowl with Madonna. The Suffolk Theater will be hosting his concert on December 22nd located on East Main Street in Riverhead. They are offering varying ticket prices for row seating including VIP tickets which give fans the chance to meet and greet Ceelo Green.
Located at the same Suffolk Theater in East Main St Riverhead that is hosting Ceelo Green’s Holiday Tour, the historic theater is welcoming guests to their new year celebration complete with dining, dancing and guaranteed fun.
There will also be a lineup of comedians presented by Long Island Comedy followed by an exquisite meal from Chef Noah, and dancing by DJ Phil. The New Year will be welcomed with a champagne toast and live broadcast of the ball drop in NYC. Ticket prices range from $49 to $59.
