Important deadlines

Under New York state law, all motor vehicle accidents require the use of no-fault insurance for medical treatment, and it is important to note that regardless of who is to blame for the accident, it is the insurance carrier of the vehicle that you were in that deals with this. Missing this thirty-day deadline will mean that the insurance company can deny your claim and leave you to pay your own medical bills.
You should also be aware of the statute of limitations.
